Styling 3 Paris Fashion Week Edits

Barney's

I really liked a lot of the separates in the Barney's edit, so I decided to go for a sort of quirky athleisure take on Parisian nonchalance. I like the Chloe pintucked blouse because it's a fun play on the classic white shirt and I love the box pleat on the back. To bring the very American athleisure vibe to this Paris look, I picked the Paco Rabanne cropped trousers with white piping because they remind me of the Adidas leggings. If I wanted to do the coat-hanging-over-one-shoulder thing so many fashion people are doing, I'd do it with this Acne coat. Finally, I threw in the blush pink mid-calf booties from Acne because I'm really into this color right now and they remind me of that scene from Legally Blonde 2: Red, White, and Blonde where Elle goes for her first day of work at the capitol in a full pink skirt suit.

The Outnet

I really preferred The Outnet's edit to Net-a-Porter which was kind of surprising, but also not because The Outnet has been killing it lately. I felt like, for the most part, their edit featured pieces that are wearable for everyday. Of course, I picked a wool sweater and black wide-leg pants from Carven. In real life, I'd probably wear a skinny black pant because I'm wary of myself in wide leg pants but this is a hypothetical situation, so let's go with it. In any world, real or fake, I would choose the satin pumps from Lanvin because they are perfect little sculptures. Keeping it streamlined and cohesive, I would pick the Saint Laurent Moujik bag to add some more texture.

Harrod's

For the Harrod's edit, I wanted to pick something that I would usually not think to wear. As you can see, that idea did not pan out because I stuck to the usual favorites: black, white, sleek, stripes. I love the Valentino bow shoulder shift and thought that it might look cool with this lavalliere bow tie from Saint Laurent. It could also look like a joke but I'm going to lean toward it looking kind of cool. Finally, I couldn't not pick the Valentino My Rockstud clutch no matter what the rest of the outfit looked like, but luckily it pairs very nicely.
