8 Things You Need For Fall

It's fall and I'm beyond ready for it. The weather is now perfect for lunch break walks and for most of my wardrobe preferences. It's crisp and drizzly and I just want to go for runs and watch movies all day long---basically my perfect world. With October approaching, now is the time to start stocking up on all the best fall items. Here are some of my must-haves:

ONE | Autumn Candle

Try something amber-scented. It's warm, musky, and has an oriental feel that will make you feel like the queen of autumn.

TWO | Loafers

I'm completely obsessed with my Weejuns (as seen in the title image), so it's not a surprise that I'm recommending loafers this fall. We can all agree that the loafer is the perfect fall shoe---it's been huge during fashion month but remains a classic. If it's been worn by both Grace Kelly and Alexa Chung, you can't go wrong. Pair these with jeans and a sweater or with a dress and statement jacket.

THREE | Cookbook

Just like our wardrobes and beauty routines, it's exciting to transition our meals from summer to fall. Adding The Sprouted Kitchen's Bowl + Spoon and Julie Morris' Superfood Snacks to your collection will give you plenty of ideas for hearty autumn meals that are in keeping with the uber-healthy green juice thing you've been doing all summer. As soon as you get your hands on these books, try out the Golden Quinoa and Butternut Breakfast Bowl from Bowl + Spoon and Goji Walnut Hummus from Superfood Snacks.

FOUR | Pajama Set

I have near religious fervor when it comes to matching pajama sets. I live in them when I'm at home, especially pink striped ones that make me feel like Eloise. Sets from places like Victoria's Secret and Sleepy Jones are essentially a requirement for fireplace nights and movie marathons.

FIVE | Jazz Playlist

In my head, it's always fall in Paris. When I'm cleaning or cooking or need a break from "Stitches" by Shawn Mendes, I like to listen to jazz and pretend that I'm there. Specifically, wearing a camel coat and having chocolat chaud at Angelina. These two playlists are perfect for such things.

SIX | To-Go Mug

Whether your drink of choice is coffee, tea, cider, PSL, or warm lemon water, one universal truth is that new season means new mug. I love the Le Creuset mugs in minimalist white as well as these earth tone, dipped mugs from Urban Outfitters. Add some pink himalayan salt to your warm lemon water while you're at it.

SEVEN | Wool Blazer

Yes, I am aware that the wool blazer is obvious. Florals for spring and all that. But, a classic is a classic for a reason, right? I like the neutral wool blazers from J.Crew because they remind me of a short, fitted camel coat that would work well with the black skinnies and a white t-shirt combination. But, gray blazers are the perfect alternative because they pair well with all the same things.

EIGHT | Throw Blanket

All who know me know that I am madly in love with my fur throw. I invite you to join my fur throw army this fall. You will not regret it. If it's just not your thing, then try out a chenille or cable knit version which are great, too. Just not as great as fur throws.
