The Beauty Edit

For "research purposes", I like to browse the beauty sections of various websites---Sephora, Bluemercury, Nordstrom, etc. Recently, I stumbled upon the treasure-trove that is Net-a-Porter's beauty section. Usually, I'd be so distracted by Miu Miu bags and anything Roksanda that I would totally gloss over the beauty section. However, I came across an edit called Skin Saviors which totally changed my focus.

This edit delves into the kind of products over which I endlessly obsess. The kinds of things that my best friend Caroline and I can talk about for hours. Some girls love the Naked palettes, some girls die over kabuki brushes and red lips. Our thing is nerdy, performance skincare. We want little vials of serum, creams made of algae and volcanic ash, and sheet masks inspired by Japanese bridal skincare rituals. We want to be stay-at-home dermatologists with our money in our medicine cabinets.

A few of my favorite things from Net-a-Porter's Skin Saviors edit:

Nourishing Protein The Super Elixir | Kalahari Desert Detox Bath Salts African Botanics | Refining Face Polisher Omorovicza | Serum Repair Dr. Sebagh | Luxury Face Oil Rodin | Facial Treatment Mask SK-II | Powerful Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate Kiehl's | The Hyaluronic Molecule Fountain | Nano Gold Energizing Face Cream Chantecaille | Instant Detox Mask Caudalie
