Festival fashion is an oft-debated thing. This year, I was disappointed with most of the looks I've seen from Coachella. Of course there were the classic bohemian elements that I love, but I was really annoyed by the fact that everyone seemed to look ill-proportioned (see: cut-off shorts with uber-cropped tank tops). Proportion is everything!
With Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and Firefly coming up, here are some outfit ideas.
Bohemian Blouse, White Silk Shorts, Braided sandals, Printed Silk Scarf with Fringe
There is nothing more bold than a white ensemble in a dusty field. Everyone wore fringe scarves to Coachella this year, but this one from Etro is feminine enough to stand out.
Loose-fit Boho Dress, Embellished Gladiator Sandals, Leather Bag, Reflective Sunglasses
Pair a subtle boho dress with a pair of embellished sandals from Mabu by Maria Bk. Accessorize with a classic leather bucket bag to hold your sunscreen and a pair of reflective sunglasses.
Black Camisole, Printed Silk Pants, Black Espadrilles, Subtle Flower Crown
This look is what I imagine would be Alexander Wang's take on bohemian. Dress up a simple black camisole with a black or nude lace bralette and a pair of printed silk pants from Figue. To add an edge, choose a pair of leather espadrilles and a throwback white flower crown.
