Dream Weekend: Ubud, Bali

I would start the day with an easy workout or yoga flow before going to Dayu's Warung for a breakfast of oats with honey and fruit and an aloe detox juice. After breakfast, I'd trek through the Monkey Forest to take copious pictures of and feed bananas to the little monkeys. After a bike ride, I'd stop at Alchemy for a smoothie bowl or salad and raw dessert. I would then go back to whichever resort or villa and spend the rest of the day in the pool before going to dinner at the gorgeous Ayung Organic Restaurant where I'd have things like pickled lotus and fresh seaweed salad, seasonal Balinese fruit, and jasmine tea. Ideally, the night would end with an outdoor spa treatment and iced chai tea.

The day would begin with a tropical fruit smoothie bowl and the morning would be spent entirely in and around the pool. For lunch, I'd go to Garden Kafe at the Yoga Barn for Nimbu Pani lemonade, samosas, cashew ginger tofu, and vegan ice-cream. I'd take a coconut kefir for the road and explore the village in an attempt to find adventures. Then, I'd head for dinner at Swept Away where I'd have green gazpacho and a cheese plate. After dinner, I'd spend the rest of the evening around a fire pit or night swimming.
