Editorial: Office Chic
The office clothes in this edit are what I imagine to be worn by the owner of some quirky lifestyle company in the city or a chic wedding planner in Charleston. I loved the idea of wearing pinks and florals to the office but, of course, I was most drawn to neutrals and navy. I picked this great pair of structural trousers from Tibi which add a bit of femininity to the usual trousers-and-button-down combination. The cinched waist reminds me of the silhouette often worn by Audrey Hepburn. I went monochromatic, putting the pants with a pair Giuseppe Zanotti heels. To offset the dark blue, pair the first two items with a camel/tan/cognac bag like this one from Nina Ricci which has a good, soft texture.
Editorial: Closet Classics
I absolutely loved this editorial which featured classic pieces with a French girl flair. There are masculine blazers, jeans, flats, and leather jackets abound, perfect for New York or Paris. For my favorites, I picked Saint Laurent high-rise skinny jeans and a minimalist take on the breton stripe sweater from Topshop. The shoes were an easy choice--the classic Gucci horsebit loafer.
Editorial: Sweat It Out
I love the thought of this cutout halter from Chromat for an edgy companion to my favorite Nike tempo shorts. I can see it layered over a white t-shirt a la Cher Horowitz. These leggings from Live the Process are perfect for those who want to add some excitement to their workout clothes but aren't a fan of neon. The print adds just the right amount of interest without assaulting the senses. Finally, I want the Norma Kamali cotton mini-dress because I think it would be so cozy to put on for the walk home after swimming laps.
