Can you believe that here in the U.S., we're only about one week away from summer? Of course, the end of May and the month of June often feel like summer just as much. I'm excited for all of the fun, summer activities coming up like picking fresh berries, drinking rosé with friends, and spending plenty of time outdoors. Sometimes, it's hard to find outfit inspiration for such specific events but here are some ideas for a couple of likely summer activities.
For cookouts, I like a classic Americana feel with denim and picnic blanket gingham. Pair a denim skirt with a lightweight navy tee. To liven things up, try a pair of gladiator sandals and a sun hat.
The boardwalk look can apply for any beach excursion outside the realm of typical beach activities (which obviously require a swimsuit). If you are out for a beach walk or having a meal at a seaside restaurant, try a retro romper with pale pink and mint accents for a Brooklyn vibe.
Cute camping outfits are ever so elusive because it's important to strike the balance between aesthetic appeal and real functionality. Try a pair of old denim cut-offs with a fringed tee and kimono. For functional purposes, invest in a pair of cute hiking boots from L.L. Bean.
What summer activities are you most looking forward to?
