6 Ways to Treat Yourself This Fall

Disclaimer: I was offered free product from Maple Holistics in exchange for my honest review. The opinions expressed in this post were not influenced by the company in any way.

Like any typical blogger out there, fall is without a doubt my favorite season. Sure, the others have their charms but the imagery of apple orchards, oversized sweaters, and quaint old streets peppered with brown leaves always gets me. This time of year just makes me want to drop everything and run off to Quebec and Boston and Paris. It also gives new inspiration for beauty rituals like warm oil massages and hot baths. Here are six ways to treat yourself this fall:

Indulge in a new, luxurious tea.
If you're like me, you love trying new teas (which explains why our cabinets are filled to the brim with all sorts of variations) and fall is the perfect season to do this. For all of the chilly mornings and evenings head, try out a new, autumnal tea like Teavana's Pumpkin Spice Brûlée (so delicious) or Harney & Sons' African Autumn.

Give yourself an almond oil massage.
When the weather gets cold, it is important to protect your skin from the elements. By giving your skin an almond oil massage, you'll keep it hydrated and moisturized to prevent cold weather related dryness and redness. I recently tried Maple Holistics' Almond Oil, which I highly recommend. It's an all-natural, wonderful smelling, and super affordable way to treat yourself that feels luxurious. You can try out the almond oil and other products by requesting a free sample here.

Read a whole book in one day.
There's no better way to spend a fall day than with a hot drink and a book in a cozy place. Pick one book from your fall reading list and read the whole thing in one day. To make things interesting, you can rotate your reading spot---from your bedroom and the couch to the park and your favorite coffee shop. If you need a recommendation, I'll always say The Secret History

Buy a new candle.
Since candles are the most vital fall accessory, create a tradition of buying a new one each year for the season. Pick a scent that is warm, earthy, and sweet to evoke all of the beautiful things happening in nature. Some great options are the Feuilles de Tabac candle and Byredo's Bibliotheque. Look out for another post this week all about fall candles.

Have a fall movie night with warm snacks.
Choose a few of your favorite movies, take your comforter to the living room, and have the coziest night ever. Prepare some warm snacks like apple cider, popcorn, or chocolate chip cookies to enjoy throughout the night.

Visit the farmer's market for fall treats.
For some, the farmer's market is a quintessentially spring activity but I find that it's never as beautiful as it is in the fall. Take your favorite market tote and head out to enjoy warm mugs of apple cider, sweet cider donuts, and treat yourself to a bouquet of flowers for your table.
