The Makeup Remover Guide

As much as I love my makeup collection, one of my favorite parts of the day is removing all of my makeup when I get home, before starting my workout. We all constantly hear how important it is to remove your makeup, but I really work hard to make sure every last bit is gone before I go to bed. Here's the three categories of makeup remover I use...

Makeup Remover Wipes

The first thing I do when I get home is grab one of my makeup removing wipes and rid my skin of anything and everything that has been sitting on top of it all day. I cycle through different wipes based on what is available at the moment, but my all time favorites are the La Roche-Posay Effaclar wipes.

Micellar Water

I'm a huge fan of double cleansing and it's pretty typical that micellar water is the first step. I remove my makeup when I get home either using a wipe or micellar water on a cotton round. I prefer micellar water as it tends to be gentler yet effective. After that first cleanse, you follow up with a targeted cleanser for your needs.

Eye Makeup Remover

Finally, I like to specifically use an eye makeup remover for taking off mascara. If you have sensitive skin like me, it's best to avoid putting anything near your eyes unless it's specifically formulated for your eye area's thin skin.
