where to shop online for the holidays

Here's a bit of holiday magic to interrupt the regularly scheduled fall content you're seeing across the internet. Have you started your holiday shopping yet? October is typically the month when Americans start doing their serious Christmas shopping.

I wanted to put together a list of online shopping destinations that may be helpful during your holiday shopping. As you know, my ethos is quality over quantity and that is reflected in these retailers. I also tried to put together a list of retailers that are a little more unique than your typical Zara or Sephora, although those are both great options as well. I hope you find something you like for each of your loved ones and a few things for yourself!

P.S. This is a longer read, so light a candle, make a cup of chai, and grab a chocolate chip scone.

If you're a consistent reader of this blog, you probably know Sézane. It's the French fashion brand you see all over Instagram. This is the perfect place to find a gift for the girl who loves everything Parisian and who is looking to add quality pieces to her carefully curated wardrobe.

The Perfect Gifts: Julie Scarf ($70) | Laure Necklace ($70) |  E-Gift Card

Morning Lavender
This is a cute little boutique with pieces that are great for girls with a feminine, flirty style. If she likes gingham, warm florals, and kimonos, this is the shop for her. The shop carries clothing as well as accessories like scarves, hats, sunglasses, and more.

The Perfect Gifts: Bree Sunglasses ($21) | Trina Camel Plaid Shawl ($49) | E-Gift Card

Christy Dawn
Based in Venice, California, Christy Dawn has the perfect dresses for your bohemian girls. This shop is for the girls whose style icons are Penny Lane and Sienna Miller. They also carry a few accessories to choose from. Note that the pieces at Christy Dawn are on the pricier side.

The Perfect Gifts: River Dress ($280) | The Lennon Dress ($202) | E-Gift Card

This Madrid-based brand is a great option for quirky, subversive pieces like graphic t-shirts and statement sweatshirts. Their clothes would make great gifts for the Tumblr set or anyone who has an ironic sense of humor or inclination toward edgy street style.

The Perfect Gifts: i heart banana Tee ($79) | I'm Not a Real Influencer tee ($49)

Violet Grey
This is my favorite place to find special, It-girl beauty products from brands like Chanel, Le Labo, and Omorovicza. Every brand on Violet Grey, which is known as the Industry's Beauty Edit, adheres to a strict set of standards to ensure consumers that they have been tested, approved, and filed by industry experts. If you want the best of beauty, look here.

The Perfect Gifts: The French Pharmacy Set ($50) | Yves Durif Brush ($65) | E-Gift Card

CAP Beauty
This New York favorite only stocks 100% natural products with no synthetic ingredients. If your girl is into green beauty, shop here. They carry makeup and skincare, of course, but also some great wellness brands like Moon Juice and The Wellness Chef so you will be able to find something unique and useful for your loved ones who are into wellness.

The Perfect Gifts: Moon Juice Brain Dust ($35) | RMS Living Luminizer ($38) | E-Gift Card

Another clean beauty destination, Credo carries sustainable and ethically sourced brands like Ilia, Rodin Olio Lusso, Tata Harper, and W3ll People. Credo has a feel similar to Bluemercury as opposed to the bohemian vibe of CAP Beauty. The brands are sometimes lesser known but you can guarantee that they're clean and ethical.

The Perfect Gifts: Herbivore Coco Rose Scrub ($36) | Tata Harper Essentials Set ($70) | E-Gift Card

I hope that, by now, everyone knows the glory of the Anthropologie beauty section. It's obviously a great place for clothing and home decor gifts, but the beauty selection is the real treasure trove. Just like the rest of their products, the beauty section is filled with beautifully packaged, apothecary-inspired brands that make really special gifts.

The Perfect Gifts: Capri Blue Volcano Hand Cream ($18) | Baudelaire Sisal Bath Brush ($10) | E-Gift Card

The Little Market
For unique home gifts, I love recommending Lauren Conrad's The Little Market. All of the products are fair trade and handmade by female artisans. You can get everything from gift boxes and candles to toys and beautiful baskets.

The Perfect Gifts: Scented Candles ($26) | Striped Hand Towels ($32) | E-Gift Card

Zara Home
Is it just me or is Zara Home still a hidden gem in the U.S.? Just like the clothing arm of the brand, Zara Home carries affordable versions of on-trend home decor. You can find everything from bedding and furniture to small decor items and candles.

The Perfect Gifts: Striped Two-Tone Shawl ($30) | Polka Dot Mug ($13) |

General Store
This online shop carries unique home decor items that feel one-of-a-kind. This is a great option for people who gravitate towards clean, minimalist design and art-lovers. The store carries decor items such as lighting fixtures and vases, but also cookbooks and coffee table books.

The Perfect Gifts: Brass Dish ($50) | Gjelina Cookbook ($35) | Morning Bowl ($60)

Kaufmann Mercantile
If you're looking for a gift for someone with impeccable design taste and you have a larger budget, Kaufmann Mercantile is your place. They sell beautiful European design objects, books, and bar items as well as unique kitchen tools.

The Perfect Gifts: Menu Glass Teapot ($70) | Scents of Land Candle ($42) |

For a more unique holiday gift, try a gift set of candy from Sugarfina. I like the idea of candy as a gift for co-workers or as a stocking stuffer for sweet-tooth friends. Sugarfina offers the cutest variations of candy that appeal to a more refined palette, using flavors like champagne, rosé, and even green juice.

The Perfect Gifts: 8-Piece Bento ($64) | 24K Gold Rosé All Day Bears ($24)

One of my favorite go-to's for quirky gifts, ban.do has a huge selection to choose from. They carry everything from paper goods and accessories to yoga mats and phone cases. This is a great option for stocking stuffers and smaller gifts.

The Perfect Gifts: Very Busy Notebook ($12) | Rose Mobile Charger ($35) | E-Gift Card

Rifle Paper Company
Based near my hometown in Winter Park, Florida, Rifle Paper Company is my favorite place for paper goods. You can find any type of paper good you're looking for, whether it be a calendar or a planner, a notebook or even a phone case.

The Perfect Gifts: Maps of the World Calendar ($26) | Clear Rosa Phone Case ($34) | E-Gift Card

Japanese company Muji is a minimalist's treasure trove for all sorts of home and paper items. If you have a friend whose style is minimalist or Eastern-inspired, they will love anything you get them from Muji. Plus, everything is super affordable.
