Have you guys been noticing the prominent street style trends lately? There's a selection of items that I've been seeing all over the blogs and Instagram that kind of remind me of that great Tumblr blog Shit Bloggers Wear. These days, it's easy to find versions of the big street style items at really affordable prices so you're able to incorporate those bold, trendy pieces into your wardrobe but won't feel guilty when they go out of style. What are the big trendy pieces in street style this fashion month? Read about them below!
Red Sock Boots
We've seen variations of these red sock boots everywhere the past few weeks and Paris Fashion Week was no different. Fortunately, there are already tons of options in stores ranging from high-end to mid-range. For something like this, I'd go mid-range as they are clearly a very trendy item. Places like Topshop (seen above) and Zara carry these at super affordable prices. I recommend pairing these with your fall neutrals like tan, black, and white or with a burgundy or pink for a bolder look.
Gray Plaid Blazers
Another piece we've seen a lot of is the gray plaid blazer. Typically, menswear inspired blazers scream Paris to me but, even though there were girls wearing these in Paris, this trend has a very London vibe. My favorite high-end version is the Tibi Jasper blazer, seen above. Mango carries a very similar version, albeit double breasted, priced in the low $100s. I love seeing this kind of blazer paired with a cropped black jean and a simple white t-shirt. You could even try a red sock boot like the ones above or keep it low-key in Stan Smiths.
Le Specs Sunglasses
While I'm definitely still partial to larger frame sunglasses, a huge trend lately has been these micro-sunglasses in a style from the brand Le Specs. They are definitely in keeping with the persistent 90s trend. Seriously, these are the sunglasses Judy Funny wore in the show Doug. While the original Le Specs pair aren't super expensive, you can easily find cheaper versions at stores like Urban Outfitters and Forever 21.
If you know me, you know I love a dramatic sleeve and they're in full effect this fashion month. I especially love the pieces with puffed sleeves that are nipped at the waist, creating a vintage-inspired, feminine silhouette. In addition to being seen on the streets, puff sleeves were on the runway at Brock Collection this year and last year at Jacquemus. Valentino has a gorgeous version in navy, but I especially love this $50 top from Free People which I'd style with a simple pair of jeans and mules.
If you're looking for a bold, very "fashion girl" trend to adopt, belt bags haven't gone anywhere yet! The Gucci belt bags have been very popular on the streets in a variety of colors. I'm personally obsessed with the white one with the gold insects and would love to wear it with a million different looks. But, you can also test drive the trend with a simple white bag from Urban Outfitters that pairs well with just about every style from feminine bohemian to androgynous minimalism.
