Lately, my pins have followed a trend which evidently reveals my deep desire to go somewhere tropical. There are a lot of white blouses, agave plants and palm trees, sparkling pools, white blooms, fresh fruit, green juices, and minimalist interiors. The aesthetic that I've been drawn to lately is kind of Palm Springs meets Charleston with a little hint of Japan.
Luckily, I'll be off to warm weather and the pool/beach in only three weeks, so I can add my own photos to the mix. I'm anticipating lots of lemonade, vegan cooking, swimming, and fun afternoons out in the heat.
When I lived in Florida, I used to get really sick of the constant heat especially when I would have to plan a cute outfit that would keep me warm in the freezing buildings at my college but also not cause me to sweat buckets walking to and around campus. I eventually developed a good route that was mostly shaded but there's not much you can do to combat the humidity.
Writing this reminds me of a really great restaurant in St. Augustine called The Floridian. They've since changed locations (I actually get really upset when things change in my college town, I even had a pit in my stomach when I learned that they moved while writing this post) but when I lived in St. Augustine, I would go to the main restaurant for dinner sometimes and also spend time between class in their courtyard. Even though they've changed locations, I still highly suggest you check it out if you're ever in the area.
