Happy last weekend of 2017! I've said before I'm not the biggest fan of celebrating New Years. I'm sure, one day, I'll go to the Black & White Ball at the Soho Grand just to live out my Babe Paley / Gloria Vanderbilt dreams. But, my brother and his girlfriend are in town for a wedding this weekend, so I'm spending some time with them which is really fun! We went to my favorites last night, Veselka and The Strand. What are you guys up to?
On to the pretty things...
Like I said above, my friend Jess sent me a picture of Sydney Carver wearing this Vineyard Vines shirt and I seriously need it. Honestly, it would have been the perfect holiday party top, but I think it can still work for the rest of winter, maybe spring if styled right, and definitely next fall!
I saw this 52 Lists for Happiness journal at Anthropologie and thought it'd be a great thing to pick up for the new year. I'm a big fan of list-making and find that it's an easy way to get into a mindset of gratitude, especially when this whole journal is backed by happiness research with specific prompts for inspiring joy and balance.
I love a good notecard set and this one from Sugar Paper is just adorable. It's a little pricey for a set of just six cards/envelopes, but they are hand letter pressed which makes them perfect for the most special of your holiday thank-you notes. These are definitely the kind of notecards that recipients will want to display.
Julia wore these Joie boots recently with a sweater dress and I thought it was just the prettiest, cozy look. I've really been loving dove gray lately and think it's such an elegant, feminine neutral that almost rivals camel. I love how Julia paired them with the dress, but they'd also look pretty with jeans tucked in and an oversized sweater with big, shiny curls.
I've been thinking a lot lately about what brand/fragrance will become the new Le Labo and I really think it's going to be Commodity. All of their scents are super luxurious and unique, but my favorite is definitely Gold. You guys know I love a warm scent and this one has all the right notes: molten amber, vanilla, and creamy musk. They sell it at Sephora, so go check them out and get some samples!
I recently went for a manicure at the Red Door Spa at Union Square, which was the best manicure experience ever. After my manicurist Cindy (she's great, ask for her if you go) finished my top coat, she sprayed a polish drying spray on my nails and I swear, like magic, they were totally dry within ten seconds. I believe she probably used this one from CND since I know they use that brand there. This product is truly a heaven send for me, who literally smudges her nails every single time.
Hope you guys are having the best weekend!
