I've tried a lot of new products recently between my birthday, Sephora Play boxes, and just needing to replace old things. Luckily, this time around I've been super happy with the things I've tried and can't wait to share my thoughts with you guys!
Anastasia Brow Wiz in the shade Taupe
Obsessed with this as it is by far the best brow product I've personally used. I've tried brow pomades, gels, pencils, and crayons but none of them work as well as this. The pen is tiny, so you're able to easily make brow-sized strokes to create a precise but natural looking shape.
It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50 in the shade Light
I had been using the version of this product that contains illumination but wanted to switch to something slightly more matte for the summer. I also went up a shade (to light, which is kind of funny) since my skin is darker with self-tanner in the summer. I love the consistency and SPF in both the normal and illuminated product, so it really depends on your highlight preference when deciding between the two.
Too Faced Lip Injection Glossy in the shade Spice Girl
I initially planned on getting the plain, clear Lip Injection but ultimately decided to get a tinted one when I tried it on in store. I love lip plumping products because the tingle is amazing and it really does make your lips look full and bee-stung. Love this tinted product, but I also recommend the clear version so that you can wear it over the color of your choice.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in the shade Paaarty
This blush is amazing! I was using a cream blush before, but I've actually switched over to this for my daily makeup look. Although it feels like a powder, the color is super pigmented so it only takes one or two swipes of the brush to show up on your cheeks. It also looks cute lightly dusted across the nose.
Tarte Creamy Matte Lip Paint in the shade Birthday Suit
This lip paint goes on glossy but dries matte, which creates a really pretty effect. This color was a little too brown for me, but it looked pretty when I dabbed a bit off on a tissue and added gloss on top. It was a bit drying on the lips, though, so maybe not the best for summer.
L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Blush in the shade Honey Beige
I wanted to try this out as a bronzer rather than a blush, so I got a warm, golden shade and have been brushing it on the contours of my face for a glowy look. It actually works really well for this purpose, so I'll probably buy it again.
Trestique Highlight + Perfect Multipurpose Stick in the shade Maldives Luminescent
I got this highlighter stick in my Sephora Play box and it's great! I apply it to my cheekbones, bridge of nose, and cupid's bow before putting on my CC cream and it shines through in a really natural, pretty way.
Skin + Hair
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
I've talked about my love for The Ordinary before and will likely do an update now that I've been using the products for awhile (and my skin has never looked better), but I recently added the hyaluronic acid to my routine and absolutely love it. I use it alongside my moisturizer and find that it instantly makes my skin look and feel more hydrated and plump.
St. Tropez Gradual Tan Classic Everyday Body Lotion
I'd been using the Jergens foam for the past few months but didn't love the consistency, so I switched it up and ordered St. Tropez's classic body lotion. I much prefer the lotion consistency and find that the smell is a lot better than any other tanning product I've used.
Caudalie Cleansing Milk
I adore Caudalie's products and this cleansing milk is also a winner. I've been trying to use gentler cleansers since I started using a retinoid and this one is so good, I think I'll be sticking to it. The consistency is light and milky and the scent is very gentle and calming. I love the way this works in tandem with my other skincare products.
Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Clay Cleanser
This is another product I had really wanted to try and, luckily, I received it in my Play box as well. While I do prefer the Caudalie cleanser for now, this one is really good too. It has a slightly stronger smell and a more gel-like consistency, but it feels really good on the skin and cleanses well.
Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt
I love, love, love Christophe Robin and have a full post on his products coming up soon but I had to rave about this one in particular. It's a very thick, grainy sea salt scrub that doubles as shampoo and it smells just like the sea. It deep cleanses your hair incredibly well and leaves it super soft and shiny the next day.
