How was everyone's Thanksgiving? I went pretty easy on the food. My menu was macaroni and cheese, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, a pretzel roll, apple cider, and a slice of tres leches cake with berries. Yet somehow, I still fell into a food coma afterwards.
The rest of the day consisted of a little walk around Williamsburg, watching Netflix, reading books, and listening to Leslie Odom's amazing Christmas album.
Earlier this week, I stopped by Sephora for a mini-facial. Since moving to the city, my skin has been adjusting and was in major need of a little refresh. Since my skin felt so good afterwards, I figured I'd share the products she used: Murad Clarifying Cleanser, Clinique Pep Start Bubble Mask, Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Eye Patches, Algenist Collagen, Belif Aqua Bomb, and Caudalie Beauty Elixir.
I loved reading this article about Kate Machtiger's work wardrobe. She's an MBA consultant who manages to keep her professional wardrobe super unique and true to her personal style, which can be really difficult.
This gift guide from Cup of Jo was so good! I figured from the title I'd be into it and, sure enough, I'd be happy to receive anything from the list they put together.
Here's something that made me happy but wasn't at all surprising---this psychology study shows that "extended contact through reading the popular best-selling books of Harry Potter improves attitudes toward stigmatized groups (immigrants, homosexuals, refugees)". Like I said, not surprising, but it really made me smile.
Finally, last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting our beloved Tituss Burgess and got a bottle of his rosé. Highly recommended, so if you want your own bottle, check it out here!
