A few weeks ago, I mentioned going to a store preview party at a new shopping area in town. I've been over one other time since to get Shake Shack on the way home from the airport and it was so much fun! There was a huge outdoor area with a DJ and lots of people just hanging out. This weekend, the new spin studio opened so I booked a bike to check it out and figured I would head over there early to check out some of the new stores that opened.
I started at Cos Bar which is a luxury beauty shop where I spent an inordinate amount of time sampling Jo Malone perfumes at the counter, trying to convince myself that my favorite is Orange Blossom (since Kate Middleton loves it) when, in reality, it has to be Mimosa & Cardamom. They also carry brands like Sisley, La Mer, Tom Ford, and Chantecaille so it's safe to say I browsed for awhile. I ended up buying an amazing scrub from Rituals that I'm totally in love with now!
I stopped in at Pottery Barn to get some ideas for a new decorating project I'm in the early stage of planning. Right now, the pieces are perfect for summer...very beachy like a house in East Hampton with lots of pale blues, ocean-inspired decor, and railroad striped textiles.
Madewell had so many cute, sort of Coachella inspired things in store but I was, funny enough, most drawn to the most gorgeous rug in the shoe area. If you're looking for some good summer neutrals, make your way to Madewell quickly because they're on point right now.
One of my last stops before spin class was to a little boutique with the most gorgeous herringbone floors, chic light fixtures, and the sweetest salesgirl who was telling me all about her upcoming summer trip to Italy. They sell the most delicious smelling candles plus Soludos espadrilles here, but honestly I must have been in an interior design frame of mind that day because I couldn't stop feeling inspired by the floors and cabinetry.
