Getting to Know Me Questions

Happy Thursday, everyone! You may be aware of my recent laptop saga if you follow me on Instagram or if you read yesterday's afternoon post. It turns out there was more than one problem with my Macbook Pro, so instead of paying to have it repaired, I just went ahead and got the new Macbook Air. I usually plan out my big purchases so far in ahead that I have time to get really excited about them, so buying one so unexpectedly is kind of weird and still feels surreal. I'm trying to figure out what features are different than my old Macbook so I can enjoy it! Haha.

So, way back in the days of MySpace, I always loved posting surveys. I guess answering questions about yourself feeds some sort of subconscious egotistical need but I also think they're a great way to learn new things about people. I love when friends or bloggers I follow answer these casual kinds of questions. My best friend Caroline featured me in a sort-of Getting to Know You post, so you're also free to read that if you'd like.

What's your favorite season?
If you'd asked me this a few months ago, I would have said autumn without a doubt. But I'm actually really enjoying spring these days!

What is the last thing you watched on TV?
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season finale and I have no shame about it.

With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
Street noise.

What is your Starbucks order?
Iced chai latte with coconut milk.

Mac or PC?

Do you remember your dreams?
Yes! Actually, I consistently have very vivid dreams which include actual conversations that I remember when I wake up. It's rather bizarre.

What's the last thing you put in your online shopping cart but didn't buy?
The white "100% Human" sweatshirt from Everlane. I wanted it to be oversized but they only had a unisex extra large and I was afraid it would be too oversized.

Shoes, Socks or Bare Feet?
J.Crew camp socks all the way!

If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you do?
I'd buy a few new wardrobe pieces, start a company that allowed me to work from anywhere in the world, and invest so that I could increase returns and help others.

What's your favorite band?
R.E.M. or The 1975.

What was the last thing you bought?
A plane ticket.

What's the farthest away place you've been?
Just Europe! I'm ready to go further though.

If you could have dinner with anyone in history, who would it be and what would you eat?
Probably Charlotte Bronte because she was so ahead of her time. Since she was a truly modern woman, I'd like to bring her to this century and we'd have a really nice Mediterranean meal outdoors.

What is your favorite candle scent?
Byredo Bibliotheque or anything with amber.

What popular notion do you think most of the world has wrong?
Hmm, there are a lot of ways I could answer this but I think the most substantial notion I disagree with is distrust in the power of the individual.

What inspires you?
Any person who takes full charge of creating their dream life.
