Happy Sunday! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I recently sat down to make my movie watch list for the upcoming fall season and thought I'd share on here in case you need ideas.
You've Got Mail (1998)
I plan on watching this one with hot apple cider and a bowl of homemade caramel popcorn.
Night of the Hunter (1955)
It may be an older movie, but this is a scary one! I'm thinking I might choose this as my Halloween night movie for this year.
Kiki's Delivery Service (1989)
There's something so cozy about this Miyazaki film and I think it's his best one for autumn.
Harry Potter + The Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)
I'll watch any Harry Potter movie anytime, especially in the fall, but this one always gets me in the Halloween mood because of the pumpkins and the singing toads.
Since it's set in a boarding school and has a very preppy vibe, this always gets me in a cozy mood.
Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009)
Yes, a second Wes Anderson movie on this list. Fantastic Mr. Fox was one of my favorite books for a long time growing up because I found its descriptions of cider and turkeys to be so cozy, so the movie is an obvious choice.
When Harry Met Sally (1989)
I can't believe I haven't seen this yet! It's a fall classic, so it's up there on my list for this year.
Carnival of Souls (1962)
This indie horror movie from the sixties is about a traumatized woman who moves to a new city where she is drawn to an abandoned carnival and stalked by a 'ghoulish stranger'.
Beautiful Boy (2018)
I've mentioned this before as the movie I hope will get Timothee Chalamet his (stolen) Oscar. It's about a father and son dealing with the son's spiral into meth addiction and it's getting rave reviews coming out of the festivals.
What's on your list to watch this fall? Do you have any go-to favorite movies for the season?
