I've always loved answering questionnaires and I think most other people enjoy them too! It's no wonder this kind of survey has withstood the test of time from magazines to Xanga and Myspace to Tumblr and now Instagram stories (by the way, I love Kelsey's templates). I thought it would be fun to answer a few random questions here on the blog! I wanna hear your answers too, so if you do a blog post...send me the link!
1. Are you outgoing or shy?
I'm definitely introverted, but I'm a lot less shy than I used to be. I think since midway through college, I've become a lot more outgoing than I once was.
2. What stereotype do you completely live up to?
The joke about white people being really averse to spices is definitely me. I shamelessly stick to salt, pepper, paprika. Old Bay seasoning is about as spicy as I'll go. Haha!
3. What kind of people are you attracted to?
Open-minded, good conversationalist, passionate, excitable.
4. What does the most recent text that you sent say?
"Ok I’m glad we concur.”
5. What are your 5 favorite songs right now?
"Little Dark Age" by MGMT
"Outside" by Palm Trees
"End of Desire" by Muna
"If The Car Beside You Moves Ahead" by James Blake
"X" by Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, 2 Chainz, and Saudi
6. Do you believe in luck and miracles?
It depends. My understanding of 'luck' is more so just privilege. As for miracles, I'd probably just boil that down to God's blessings and the fact that He always provides. Although, I also understand that non-religious people may just consider that privilege as well.
7. What good thing happened this winter?
Technically it was late fall, but I moved to New York!
8. Do you like your neighbors?
I don't technically 'know' my neighbors and one of them really gets on my nerves but for the most part, the people in my neighborhood are very nice. Every time I go into the CVS down the street, they welcome me like a queen.
9. What are your bad habits?
Probably spending too much on Seamless when I could pack my lunch and having poor seated posture.
10. Where would you like to travel?
So many places. The big ones that come to mind are Japan, Montreal, Edinburgh, Bali, Cape Town, and Palm Beach.
11. Favorite part of your daily routine?
Taking off my makeup and going through my skincare routine.
12. Do you ever want to get married?
This question is one that's typically out of my comfort zone for the blog, but I'm trying to get more personal. Although I've gone back and forth in the past (thinking I'd prefer a lifelong partnership instead of a traditional marriage; think Kurt Russell & Goldie Hawn or Caroline de Maigret and her man), I'd say yes, I ultimately do want to get married.
13. Which celebrities would you date?
It's hard to say without personally knowing someone but my mind goes to Andrew Vanwyngarden, Alexander Skarsgard, Tom Hardy, Michael B. Jordan (!!!), Dacre Montgomery (sans Stranger Things mullet), Rami Malek, and Armie Hammer.
14. What are your favorite stores to shop in?
J.Crew, Madewell, Francesca's, Zara, Anthropologie, this little boutique in Williamsburg that I'm keeping a secret, Everlane, Uniqlo, and Muji. Flight Club for shoes and edgier vibes.
15. What was your best/favorite subject in high school? What was your worst/least favorite?
Creative Writing was by far my best and favorite subject in which I always received accolades. My worst was math, although I got so much better at it in college. Least favorite was gym, not because I don't love being active, but because I went to school in Florida so it was always sweltering hot outside and it wasn't fun to get sweaty and then have to go back to class. In fact, I ended up taking my required gym class online (lol).
16. What female celebrities would be in your girl gang?
So many. Alicia Vikander, Olivia Culpo, Reese Witherspoon, Lupita Nyong'o, Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton, Taylor Swift, Yara Shahidi, Héloïse Letissier, Jeanne Damas, Karlie Kloss, Audrey Gelman, Amandla Stenberg, Zoe Kravitz, Katie Couric, Michelle Obama. I know there's a ton that I'm missing!
17. What is your go-to drink order at Starbucks? At the bar?
At Starbucks: Either an iced chai latte with coconut milk or a caramel apple spice. At the bar, gin + tonic or margarita.
18. What's your go-to karaoke song?
I have a lot, but I really want to do "Man In The Mirror" by Michael Jackson or "Higher Love" by Steve Wynwood. Also "Waving Through a Window" from Dear Evan Hansen.
19. What movie universe would you most want to live in?
One hundred percent Harry Potter. Sometimes it actually makes me sad that it's (likely) impossible.
20. What do you like most about where you live? What do you dislike most?
There is so much that I love about living in New York but if I had to pinpoint one thing, it would be all of the opportunity. The thing I most dislike is when the subway is crowded because it's literally one of the worst experiences.
