I’m pretty sure this is the least holiday-festive-cozy-winter photo you’ve seen this week, but…
One of my recent highs has been discovering cute, new places in my hometown. Growing up in my town, there wasn’t a whole lot to do with regards to cute cafes/restaurants and so on. It was very much a beach or nothing town in my view which is why I went positively crazy when I moved to St. Augustine for college where there were tons of cute places all within walking distance from my dorm.
However, after moving back after living out of state for a few years, I’m so happy to see all of the fun places that have popped up around town. My friend Holly and I went to Copperline Coffee recently where we exchanged gifts and died over the cozy, North Carolina mountains inspired decor (which is perfect since that’s where she’s from). Then, I met up with an old high school friend at a place she loves called Third Wave a few days ago and was completely shook by how cute it was! Plus, they had a huge menu of lattes, tea, and kombucha on tap. It’s my new heaven.
As for lows, I can’t say much really other than the typical thing where many self-employed/entrepreneurs experience a bit of a slow down around the holidays. Luckily, the slow down hasn’t been terrible for me, but it’s there so I’ve just decided to accept it, do what I can, and enjoy the extra down time.
We’re in the final countdown to Christmas and all of my shopping is done! They look really pretty under the tree in Hearth & Hand printed bags and Sugar Paper tissue. Seriously, I kinda want them to stay wrapped as long as possible because they’re so nice to look at 😍 I’m trying to watch as many holiday movies as possible and recently got to see the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina holiday special which was so perfect. I love your traditional cheesy Christmas movies, but this was a nice change of pace because it was obviously a lot darker but still humorous.
I’m wrapping up the year by writing down all of the highlights of 2018 (some of which I’ll share in the coming days) and arranging a collection of my favorite photos I’ve taken this year, especially since I got my new camera. It’ll be fun to go back and remember some of the work I’ve done!
Emily Moore’s work is wintery perfection!
I was so happy to read Ashley’s post about her dissertation as this is exactly the type of content I’ve been craving yet is severely lacking from the blog world.
For the love of all that is holy, I am obsessed with the new Chloé bag. It has a slightly a witchy vibe!
Does anyone else need help with their lumpy gift wrapping jobs? Here you go!
Need a last minute Christmas gift?
Julia’s holiday decor is too much for my heart to handle.
