Happy weekend! The fall vibe I wanted to capture for this week’s edition of pretty things is sort of where American Western style meets Parisian street style. So, lots of subtle cowboy influences paired with French classics.
This subtle polka dot print dress from Mango is a great, easy piece for fall that can be worn by itself when it’s still a little warm out or with a cute jacket when the temperatures cool down. Pair it with Stan Smiths or a pair of Veja sneakers for a sportier look or with ankle boots for something more classically autumnal.
An oversized cardigan is something that screams Parisian to me, especially when worn by itself or over a silk camisole. This one in particular has these great tortoiseshell buttons that make it really interesting. Wear it over a dress or buttoned up with jeans and boots.
Need a new fall scent? Diptyque’s Oud Palao is the perfect choice. It’s a warm, exotic scent, combining East and West with notes like Bulgarian rose, Laotian oud, Indian cypriol, Sri Lankan sandalwood, Somalian olibanum, Madagascan vanilla, Spanish cistus, Indonesian patchouli paired with rose, vanilla, and incense.
A great pair of straight leg jeans will carry you through the fall as great base for your looks. Pair them with everything from classic cotton or cashmere t-shirts to wool sweaters, silk camisoles and jackets, or bohemian blouses.
This bag from & Other Stories is a simple piece that will add some fall texture and color to all of your basics. I love the idea of using it to dress up a white tee and jeans or to anchor a printed dress.
If there’s one shoe that, to me, screams autumn it’s the iconic Isabel Marant Dicker boot. I love its Western influences and the perfect height of its heel. This shoe works with pretty much everything and adds a great Parisian twist.
