Happy Saturday! So, I started this edition with no real theme in mind but as it came together, it started giving me such Royal Tenenbaum vibes. All of the cozy, ‘70s inspired colors and textures are putting me in the most incredible autumnal vibe. I think I might have to sit down and watch the movie this weekend, actually.
This Ganni dress really was the jumping off point for the Tenenbaums vibe. As I said in the graphic, it’s the perfect transitional piece because it’s a lightweight cotton poplin material, but in a print that’s super autumnal.
It may not be chilly enough yet (or ever in the south) to wear a teddy coat just yet, but that time is just around the corner. This one from Stand Studios reminds me so much of Margot Tenenbaum’s iconic fur coat.
Could chenille totes be the next big trend in bags? I hope so, because this one from Alexander Wang is really cool. I love the texture and the shape, how it’s both functional yet super cozy and adds a bit of interest to a look.
If you’re trying to channel Jane Birkin this fall, a pair of wide leg jeans is mandatory. Pair this with a simple white tee or your favorite chunky sweater.
A piece frequently seen in The Royal Tenenbaums is a great striped shirt like this one from Veronica Beard. It’d look great with the wide leg jeans, a velvet or corduroy skirt, and some cute ankle boots.
This Maje cardigan is a really special piece that screams fall vibes to me. I love the idea of throwing it on over a monochromatic look like black jeans and a black top or even over a dress to shake things up
