I don’t know about you, but summer must be my favorite season when it comes to cocktails. I love all the things you can whip up with summer ingredients for refreshing sips to drink on the porch at the end of the day or in a cabana by the ocean with your friends. Here’s a couple of super easy end-of-summer sips to make before autumn arrives.
Create a rose simple syrup by bringing equal parts water and sugar (about 1/2 cup) with 1/4 cup of dried rose petals. Blend this simple syrup together with your favorite French rosé (I love the brand Yes Way, Rosé) a squeeze of lime, muddle mint leaves, and club soda for a little summer wine cocktail.
champagne + ginger fizz
I love this simple drink for a get-together or to celebrate a special occasion. Simply grab a bottle of the best champagne you can, then mix in a highball with ginger ale and a piece of candied ginger.
I’m a huge fan of Casamigos tequila because it’s so smooth, which means it’s not hard to make a good cocktail out of it. For a delicious and easy margarita, mix about a shot-and-a-half of Casamigos Blanco with a splash of raspberry lemonade and a squeeze of lime. Garnish with a lime wedge and a few raspberries.
st. germain spritz
If you want to try something chic, here it is. Add four ounces of dry prosecco to 1.5 ounces of elderflower liqueur. Top it off with club soda and garnish with a sprig of lavender.
This is my all-time favorite summer drink, particularly to be had on unusually sunny days in London. Fill a glass with ice, then add 1.5 ounces of Pimm’s to about 3/4 cup lemonade. Add chopped cucumber, lemon, strawberry, and fresh sprigs of mint.
