the weekend list no. 52

I’m going to start off with lows so that I can end on a positive note. I think my low lately has just been the same continued frustration I’ve had for several years now, but particularly focused this time on the government shutdown which is really infuriating. I’ll leave it there!

My high has been starting fresh in the new year and getting back into my work flow with a new, adjusted schedule. Another facet of starting fresh has been a new workout routine. I was going strong on one I had developed myself, but then there was a plot twist when I got an offer to do three months of the Kayla Itsines Sweat app for $1. Couldn’t turn that down obviously and now I’m obsessed with this app. I’m doing the yoga plan and mostly doing yoga or ballet for my LISS days too so my life right now is pretty yoga centric. I cannot complain!

Finished Lilac Girls which might be one of my favorite books of 2019 already. Have been making lots of new shake/smoothie/juice recipes from Shalane Flanagan and Gwyneth Paltrow cookbooks. Listening to the new Toro Y Moi album, Outer Peace. Started Outlander season two. Brunch, ice-cream, and beach walks with friends. Started an amazing new skincare line, will keep you posted. Constantly having TCM on in the background while I work which has exposed me to a lot of great and a lot of super weird movies (see: The Brain That Wouldn’t Die).
