Well, despite what the weather says here, fall is officially in full swing in my eyes! The past two weeks have consisted of me laying out plans for the season and getting into the autumn spirit. We’ve brought out the fall decor and pumpkin scented candles, I’ve baked apple hand pies, and have been studying for the GRE which feels like a remarkably fall activity for some reason.

I met up with my friend Holly, whose place is peak fall vibes at the moment, and baked her a belated birthday Tarte Normande (recipe from David Lebovitz) to go with her homemade apple cider after having Japanese takeout for dinner. We watched You’ve Got Mail which I do every year, but she had never seen it! It was so fun for me to experience someone’s first viewing when I knew how much she’d love it.

This week, aside from work, has been all about working, more studying, and planning some things for winter travel coming up. Today, we’re going to see a stage performance of Pride & Prejudice at a local theater in Orlando. I’m so excited and don’t know what to expect as I’ve read the book and seen the movies, but have never seen done on the stage!

One last thing with regards to the photo above. This week, I made my first batch of fall-infused water for the year. It’s one of my very favorite things to have on hand for the season and it’s super easy. Just fill a pitcher with fresh water, one sliced apple, one sliced pear, and 1-2 cinnamon sticks. It makes for a lightly tinged, festive infused water to sip on all day long.
